Empowering Dreams: Unlocking Potential through Education

In the last 25 years, Children of Vietnam has supported more than 12,200 high school and university students through our education programs. We aim to uplift children living in poverty in Vietnam by offering scholarships and educational aid.

With the new school year approaching, we are excited to introduce our latest campaign, “Empowering Dreams: Unleashing Potential through Education,” aimed at raising $50,000 to empower children’s dreams and provide them with a sound education that lifts them out of poverty.

As you step into Children of Vietnam’s Danang office, you’ll likely notice the welcoming smile of Huynh Ngoc Tuong, our newest program assistant. Tuong is a former beneficiary of the Bright Scholars program. Despite challenging family circumstances – including the early loss of his father and his mother’s dedicated efforts to raise four children – Tuong and his siblings have emerged as outstanding members of the Bright Scholars program over several years. After graduating from Danang University of Education with a degree in social work, Tuong joined Children of Vietnam, continuing his journey to support scholarships for students in need.

From July 2022 to June 2023, Children of Vietnam has provided the following:

29,211 kindergarteners were provided with soy milk daily.
1,995,840 nutritious meals provided to children every day throughout the school year.
107 single mothers started their own businesses to provide a stable and sustainable livelihood for their children.
6,895 children in 18 schools in remote areas are provided with clean water.
100 children with disabilities received assistance including health checks and therapies, medical aids, educational and family support.
2 new classrooms have been constructed.
280 disadvantaged students received grants for academic tutoring and life skills training.
80 poor but bright students received a university education.
