Siliphone (Anna) Phommachanthone recently graduated with a BA in Business, Organization, and Society and International Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies at Franklin and Marshall College. She was heavily involved in the student organization Asian American Alliance. She took on the role of Treasurer, Co-President, and Senior Advisor throughout her four years in college. As a first-generation student, she paved her own path to find opportunities that fit her interests. Since 2020, she’s been heavily involved in the Legacies of War organization, learning about her roots’ history and positively contributing to the work through her creative skillsets. In the first semester of her senior year, she studied abroad in Chiang Mai, Thailand, getting immersed in the culture through language and food. She studied sustainable development there in the hopes of getting a better sense of Southeast Asia as a whole. Through her strong foundation in Southeast Asia, Anna is very excited to work at Children of Vietnam to understand better how the organization’s work plays a role in Vietnamese society.
