Giang has long-standing experience leading NGOs to realize their missions and a track record of developing partnerships with firms, institutional donors, and individual philanthropists from Europe, the US, Asia Pacific, and South Africa.
Currently, she serves as the Deputy Regional Director in the Mekong Region of Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST). She leads ASSIST Mekong in the acquisition of international development grants for high-level capacity-building projects in skills and jobs, health and safety, agricultural and rural development, efficient natural resources, and SMEs development.
In her former role as the Head of Programmes and Acting Director of Saigon Children’s Charity, she successfully led the development and execution of educational support programs, that provided access for tens of thousands of Vietnamese children to education and opportunities to escape from poverty. Later on, as the Executive Director of LIN Center for Community, she pioneered and championed fundraising and partnership development with private companies.
Giang has recently completed her MSc in International Management and International Relations at Oxford Brookes University in England. She is now based in Vietnam and actively connected to business and nonprofit communities in Vietnam. She also has a strong understanding of and experience working in the political landscape in Vietnam.
Serving as a board member of Children of Vietnam (COV), Giang offers her expertise to develop COV’s programs to best serve our children as well as assisting COV’s fundraising efforts. Coming from a financially challenging background, Giang appreciates how education has transformed her life. She, therefore, has a strong personal connection and passion for supporting children with disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their fullest potential through enabling their access to education.
