Rhonda Grissom

Rhonda Grissom

Rhonda Grissom, MD resides in Kentucky and practices medicine there. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical School and a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. She lives on a horse and cattle farm with her husband Steve. Their son Zach is a college student at the University of Miami in Florida. Rhonda’s interests and hobbies are many, from metal sculpture to yoga, tennis, gardening, horseback riding, and travel.

Rhonda is a member of Dining for Women, a collective giving circle providing grants to non-profit organizations who serve the poorest women and girls in the world. As the program presenter for her local chapter, she has learned how carefully planned programs and services focusing on issues such as healthcare, education, and economic opportunities can permanently change lives, and how thoughtfully spent funds can help break the cycle of poverty.

Children of Vietnam is a past grantee of Dining for Women. Rhonda first visited Vietnam in 2014 with Dining for Women and met with COV staff and beneficiaries. Seeing firsthand the wonderful work COV is engaged in, it became clear to her that COV helps provide long term solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems, with compassion and dignity and hope, in a culturally appropriate way, and by utilizing all possible resources. Rhonda became an ongoing supporter of COV and participated in COV’s Cycle Out Child Poverty Campaign in Vietnam in March 2018. As a new board member as of February 2018, she hopes to contribute in a meaningful way to COV’s mission, vision, and purpose. She is honored and happy to have this opportunity.
