Over 100 secondary students in four schools in Hoa Vang district, Danang are participating in Study Steps Program from 2022 to 2024. The program supports middle school, and high school students with learning materials and tuition fees for extra classes in math, Vietnamese and English. In addition, participating students also join in skill training programs, like communications and presentation skills, and go on outings to visit and share experiences.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Suong, principal of Nguyen Hong Anh Middle School, says: “I find it is a comprehensive program, offering support and tutoring for students so that they can master their learning and improve knowledge to become excellent students.”
According to Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, principal of Tran Quang Khai Middle School, the program includes both material support and a scientific design that brings a lot of value to teachers. “Through the program, we have learned many new things. The program is detailed, comprehensive, and scientific and brings effective and positive results for students,” she says.

Vo Xuan Hang, a 7th grader at Tran Quang Khai School, says that in the last two years, she has received support to buy a desk, school books, a bicycle, and a phone so her family can reach her more easily. “Through training and classes, I have fun and feel excited and more confident”, she said.
Mr. Pham Phu Thuan, vice principal of Nguyen Van Linh Middle School, shares that the way the program is designed and implemented shows that COV staff know each student very well. “Sometimes they know students’ circumstances better than I do. Besides, COV holds training classes with a group of 25 students, which can help students interact and practice more,” he added.
