Phan Thi Ngoc Hoa is a special little girl. She lives in a tiny rented room with her mom and dad. Her dad is a long-haul truck driver and is often away from home. Their family life is very difficult. Every night, the image of Hoa’s mother carrying her around to sell fruits at the food stalls has become familiar to neighbors.

Hoa was born with a disability, making it difficult for her to move around. Her mother wanted to send her to rehabilitation therapy, but their family’s financial situation was too tight. There were times when she thought about sending Hoa to a social welfare center.

But then, Hoa began participating in COV’s Hope System of Care program. With the program’s support, Hoa had the opportunity to receive physical therapy from specialists. The exercises, though simple, brought about miraculous changes. From a weak and frail girl, Hoa gradually became stronger. She could now sit up on her own and even take a few wobbly steps.

The happiness is evident on Hoa’s mother’s face when she sees her little daughter happy and improving day by day. Her mother has more and more faith and hope for the future. Hoa’s father, despite his busy schedule, always makes time to play with his daughter.

“Hoa dreams of going to school. She hopes to make new friends and explore the world around her. We sincerely hope that one day she can achieve this. It would truly be one of the happiest moments of my life.” Mrs. Ngoc Hang, Hoa’s mother shared.
Witnessing every step of Hoa’s journey, COV hopes that more and more children will be supported and helped so that they have the opportunity to develop their potential.
